History and nature come together at the inspiring Enterprise South Nature Park, one of the newest and nicest parks in Chattanooga. A reclaimed Volunteer Army Ammunition Plant, the park features 2,800 acres of wooded Tennessee countryside. Visitors can drive a 7-mile loop, hike or bike 25 miles of trails, picnic in multiple places throughout the park, and watch wildlife such as whitetail deer, wild turkeys, and hawks in their own environment around Hidden Lake.

Enterprise South Nature Park used to be part of a Volunteer Army Ammunition Plant, evident by concrete storage containers for TNT still throughout the park today.
